What to Put at the Curb Before Your Junk Hauler Arrives

Booking a junk removal pickup is easy — but a little preparation goes a long way. Here’s exactly what to do before your Junk Hauler pickup day so everything goes smoothly.

Move Everything to the Curb

All of our pickups are curbside only. That means your items need to be at the curb or end of your driveway before your scheduled pickup time. You don’t need to be home — just have everything out and ready to go.

If items are inside your home, garage, or backyard, we won’t be able to pick them up. Plan ahead and get everything moved out the day before if possible.

Group Your Items Together

Put everything in one spot at the curb. This helps us load quickly and efficiently and makes sure nothing gets left behind. If you have multiple piles in different spots, consolidate them into one area.

Make Sure the Path Is Clear

If you’re in a neighborhood or on a busy street, make sure there’s enough room for our truck and trailer to pull up safely. We’ll need a few feet of clearance on either side.

Double Check Your Load Size

Use our pricing estimator at junkhauler.org before your pickup to confirm your load size and price. If your pile ends up larger than expected on pickup day, we’ll adjust accordingly — but it’s better to have an accurate estimate upfront so there are no surprises.

What Happens on Pickup Day

Once your items are at the curb and your booking is confirmed, we handle everything from there. We load the truck, haul it away, and handle responsible disposal — including donating usable items when possible and recycling scrap metal.
